Create Me a Home
Create Me a Home 1.1.0 is now available! You can leave your feedback here. Thanks!
Create Me a Home is a cozy, long-term multiplayer modpack built around Create, exploration, creativity, and community progression.
The goal is not to rush through a traditional quest line or reach an endgame as quickly as possible. Instead, the pack is designed to create a world where players can settle down, build together, automate at their own pace, explore a rich environment, and gradually discover new technologies and possibilities.

Requirements
- Minecraft 1.20.1
- Fabric Loader 0.19.5
- A Fabric-compatible launcher such as Modrinth App
- 12 GB of RAM allocated to the client for a comfortable experience
- 6 GB of RAM allocated to the server for a small group, or 8 GB+ for larger servers
- The same modpack version on both client and server
- A fresh instance when changing major pack versions
For multiplayer, install the client pack for players and the server pack for the host. These are allocated amounts, so the computer should have additional RAM available for the operating system and other applications.
Getting started
- Create or join a world with your friends.
- Open the Questlog and explore the available chapters.
- Settle down and build a home.
- Follow discoveries naturally instead of trying to complete everything immediately.
- Use Create to automate, connect, and improve your settlements.
- Share resources, routes, shops, and projects with the community.
Built around Create
Create is at the heart of the experience.
Its machines, logistics, automation systems, trains, factories, and mechanical contraptions are meant to become part of the world rather than just tools used to complete a progression checklist.
Many other mods are integrated around Create through custom recipes, progression, and visual consistency, making the different systems feel like they belong to the same technological ecosystem.
Some technologies that would normally be crafted independently are reworked to use Create components such as mechanisms, casings, electron tubes, sheets, or mechanical processing.
Discovery-driven progression
Progression is designed around discoveries rather than strict ages.
New branches of progression appear as you interact with the world and reach meaningful milestones.
Finding a new dimension, obtaining an important resource, building your first mechanical system, encountering a dangerous creature, or discovering a new technology can unlock additional objectives and possibilities.
Earlier discoveries naturally lead toward more advanced ones.
The goal is to preserve the feeling of discovering things yourself instead of simply following a predefined checklist from the beginning of the game.
Some milestones may also be unlocked for the entire server, encouraging cooperation without completely removing individual exploration.
Cozy, but not effortless
The pack is designed to work for different kinds of players.
You can spend your time:
- Building towns, houses, and detailed interiors
- Creating farms and factories
- Designing railway networks
- Exploring structures and distant biomes
- Collecting animals and creatures
- Automating complex production chains
- Completing discoveries and challenges
- Simply hanging out with friends
Players who enjoy optimization and technical challenges should still have plenty to experiment with, while players who mainly enjoy building or exploring should never feel forced into heavy automation.
A richer world to explore
The world contains a large variety of:
- Biomes
- Structures
- Creatures
- Environmental details
- New dimensions and locations
- Small immersive systems
Exploration is meant to stay useful even after dozens of hours.
The objective is to make travelling feel like discovering places rather than simply searching for the next required resource.
Made for multiplayer
Create Me a Home is primarily designed as a long-term friends server.
Many systems naturally encourage collaboration:
- Shared factories
- Railway infrastructure
- Villages and towns
- Resource networks
- Community projects
- Server-wide discoveries
At the same time, progression tries to avoid making cooperation mandatory. Someone giving you an advanced item should not automatically erase the experience of discovering the technology behind it yourself.
Keep the client and server on the same pack version, and make a world backup before updating. Community infrastructure works best when players agree on shared locations and projects.
Immersion and social features
The pack also includes several systems focused on making the server feel more alive.
Voice communication, environmental interactions, cosmetic details, furniture, photography, media displays, player interactions, and other small immersive additions help turn the world into a place people actually want to spend time in.
Downloads and updates
Download the client .mrpack and server pack from the changelog of the version you want to play.
Always update the client and server together. Before updating an existing world, make a backup and read the release changelog for important changes or replacements.
Community commands
The pack currently does not require custom commands for progression. Most objectives are discovered through the Questlog, advancements, and normal gameplay.
The following community commands are planned for a future update:
/cmh community— Shows the current community objectives./cmh community status— Displays the progress of shared projects./cmh community info— Explains how server-wide progression works.
Roadmap
Create Me a Home is intended to keep evolving after its first stable release.
The current priorities are:
- Polish and stability — improving performance, fixing compatibility issues, and refining existing systems based on player feedback.
- Better progression — expanding discoveries, improving Questlog objectives, and making progression feel more natural and interconnected.
- Living communities — developing villages, local economies, contracts, and shared infrastructure.
- Transport and logistics — strengthening the roles of roads, rivers, carts, ships, and Create railway networks.
- Deeper mod integration — connecting existing mods through recipes, quests, and progression instead of simply adding more content.
- More reasons to stay in the world — expanding long-term building, exploration, social, and community-oriented goals.
The roadmap is intentionally flexible. New features will be added when they meaningfully support the pack rather than simply increasing the mod count.
Player feedback will help decide which parts of the experience should be improved next.
The idea is simple:
Build something worth coming back to.
