NextGen is a carefully crafted modpack designed to feel like a true sequel to the original game. Every addition enhances the core Minecraft experience without compromising its identity. The goal is simple: preserve the spirit of vanilla while elevating visuals, world generation, immersion, and overall performance to modern standards.

Key Features

Enhanced Visuals:

NextGen updates the game’s visual identity with a combination of shaders, improved lighting, enhanced block and entity rendering, and richer environmental effects.

  • Dynamic lighting and shadows powered by Iris and Sodium.
  • Vast render distances supported by Distant Horizons.
  • Improved block models, 3D layers, detailed plants, enhanced entities, and polished world aesthetics.
  • A curated set of resource packs for cleaner textures, improved models, and more expressive mobs.

Expanded World Generation

  • Overhauled biome structures, atmosphere, and terrain blending.
  • Richer ecosystems with improved wildlife, ambient soundscapes, and biome-specific effects.
  • New decorative blocks, natural structures, and terrain features that integrate seamlessly with vanilla.

Immersive Atmosphere

  • Improved ambient sound design with biome-aware audio.
  • Enhanced weather effects and environmental particles.
  • Refined character animations, creature behaviors, and interaction feedback.

Performance and Stability

NextGen is optimized to run smoothly even on low/mid-range systems.
Included are multiple performance-focused mods such as Sodium, Lithium, FerriteCore, ImmediatelyFast, ModernFix, MoreCulling, and others.

Vision

NextGen is not a content-heavy overhaul or a complete redesign. It is a reimagining of what vanilla could feel like with modern standards of visuals, performance, and immersion.
Every change is intentional, cohesive, and respectful to the original game.
If you want Minecraft to feel familiar yet refreshed, immersive yet smooth, beautiful yet optimized, this modpack delivers that vision.

Hardware Requirements

My current set up is:

  • i5-10400F
  • RTX 2060 6GB
  • 32GB DDR4 RAM (20GB for MC but you wont need that much i just have too much)
  • Monitors:
  1. 1440p 75Hz (Main and where I play Minecraft)
  2. 1080p 75Hz

And it runs smoothly at high settings without shaders.

When exploring it does lag a bit but if you are not a hardcore explorer it wont be any problem.

Alperca’s NextGen 怎么安装？

点本页「前往下载」拿到整合包文件（Modrinth 的是 .mrpack，CurseForge 的是 .zip），在 PCL2 或 HMCL 启动器里选择「导入整合包」，启动器会自动装好 Minecraft、加载器和全部模组。这个整合包有 177 个模组，建议在启动器里给游戏分配 6–8 GB 内存。

Alperca’s NextGen 开服需要多大内存？

推荐服务器内存 12 GB。在线人数多、或者建了大量机器和区块加载器时，可以再加 2–4 GB。
