This modpack is the ultimate perfect combination of QoL mods and performance mods for the best MacBook minecraft experience. It utilises the Metallum for best performance.

I realised that shaders just do not work on macOS. This is because macOS’s OpenGL version is still 4.1 whereas on PC’s it is 4.6. This allows PC users to have full new shader support, whilst macOS is far behind. I chose to use the metallum mod which brings the best possible performance on macOS, along with Qol mods that improve visuality.

This combination, alongisde lots of quality of life mods makes this the undisputed best macOS minecraft modpack to date. Hope you enjoy. Don’t hold back on any issues. please report any errors and I’ll be happy to help.

Starting update 2.1.0
New versions of the modpack will be titled from two kinds:
Base: Metallum used, best performance, but no shader support.
Shader: Highest performance cost, but with shader support.
Additionally, “Vanilla” might be added before each meaning that the modpack will utilise no resourcepacks that remove the default vanilla style.

HEADS UP
Even though the category “Shader” is listed as more demanding and heavy, I have ensured that both do still give the best performance on macOS, for me personally, I have a M3 Macbook air, and with both I still get a constant 60FPS regardless which I choose.
So really, Base option is only necessary if you have an older mac than I do, and still want to get stable 60FPS.
