Roam

Roam is an exploration-focused Minecraft modpack that expands the world without trying to turn Minecraft into a completely different game.

It adds new biomes, terrain, structures, creatures, enemies, equipment, magic, combat options, and atmospheric improvements while keeping the familiar Minecraft sandbox at the center of the experience.

Features

  • Expanded world generation — More varied terrain and environments designed to make traveling through the world less repetitive.
  • More biomes and places to discover — The world contains far more variety than vanilla Minecraft, giving you a reason to keep exploring beyond your starting area.
  • New structures and dungeons — Find structures ranging from smaller discoveries to larger locations filled with enemies, loot, and more.
  • Expanded combat — Fight a wider variety of enemies using new weapons, equipment, abilities, and overhauled combat mechanics.
  • New creatures and mobs — Roam adds much more life to the world, including both peaceful creatures and new threats.
  • Magic — Discover magical systems, items, and abilities alongside the more traditional Minecraft progression.
  • More equipment and loot — Exploration can reward you with new gear, materials, tools, weapons, and other useful items.
  • Improved atmosphere — Visual, environmental, and ambient additions make caves, forests, mountains, structures, and other areas feel more distinct.
  • Building additions — New blocks and decorative options give builders more choices without replacing Minecraft’s normal building style.
  • Freeform progression — Roam does not revolve around a quest book. You decide what interests you and what direction you want to take your world.

What is Roam trying to be?

A lot of modpacks completely replace Minecraft’s normal progression with quests, technology trees, RPG systems, or a predefined objective.

Roam doesn’t.

You can focus on exploration, building, combat, collecting, magic, or whatever else you want. The pack gives you more things to encounter and interact with while leaving the choice of what to do with them up to you.

If you enjoy Minecraft because of the freedom to wander into the world and make your own goals, Roam is built around exactly that.

Roam 支持哪些 Minecraft 版本？

Roam 基于 Minecraft Java 版 1.20.1，使用 Forge 加载器。

Roam 怎么安装？

点本页「前往下载」拿到整合包文件（Modrinth 的是 .mrpack，CurseForge 的是 .zip），在 PCL2 或 HMCL 启动器里选择「导入整合包」，启动器会自动装好 Minecraft、加载器和全部模组。这个整合包有 180 个模组，建议在启动器里给游戏分配 6–8 GB 内存。

Roam 开服需要多大内存？

推荐服务器内存 12 GB。在线人数多、或者建了大量机器和区块加载器时，可以再加 2–4 GB。

怎么和朋友一起玩 Roam？

点本页的「一键开服」，选好配置后会自动安装 Roam 的服务端，几分钟就能开好。把服务器地址发给朋友，大家用同一个版本的整合包连进去就行。
