Create: Beyond the Clouds

[!] IMPORTANT: Due to a bug causing the hand to appear transparent, you MUST use the No Shader shaderpack by default, as it fixes the issue with zero performance impact (any other shaderpack will also work).

Maximize your performance

This pack is optimized as much as possible without compromising gameplay or core visuals—from the choice of mods and shaders down to fine-tuned settings.

Improving performance:

The Render Scale mod is included exactly for this.

Pressing “O” in-game (or accessing it via Video Settings / Mod List) opens the render scaling menu.

From there, you can choose a resolution percentage (where 1.00 = Native Resolution). This will only lower your render resolution without breaking the crispness of your HUD, or GUI scaling.

Popular Upscaling Presets (DLSS & FSR Equivalent):

On a 4K Monitor (3840×2160):

  • 0.67x (Quality): 2560×1440
  • 0.58x (Balanced): 2227×1253
  • 0.50x (Performance): 1920×1080
  • 0.33x (Ultra Perf): 1280×720

On a 1440p Monitor (2560×1440):

  • 0.67x (Quality): 1707×960
  • 0.58x (Balanced): 1485×835
  • 0.50x (Performance): 1280×720
  • 0.33x (Ultra Perf): 853×480

On a 1080p Monitor (1920×1080):

  • 0.67x (Quality): 1280×720
  • 0.58x (Balanced): 1114×626
  • 0.50x (Performance): 960×540
  • 0.33x (Ultra Perf): 640×360

The pack defaults to 10 Render Distance combined with a more optimized vanilla settings, which is more than enough when paired with Distant Horizons.

It also utilizes the default+ (ish) DH settings since those are actually well-balanced nowadays, tho tuned for DH SeedGen providing higher performance, smoother 1% lows, and better render distances.
(Note: SSRD is currently set to OFF due to compatibility with the latest DH update).

_Feel free to change these based on your own hardware!_

Multiplayer

This is obviously really important. I’ve included two [2] different options for playing with friends:

  • Essential Mod: The classic option that lets you host your world and invite friends directly.
  • LAN World Plug-n-Play (mcwifipnp): A more vanilla-friendly alternative that utilizes the native LAN system _(with pnp port forward)_ , doesn’t require a friends system, and supports offline accounts.

World Generation

we’re now using Lithosphere for terrain generation, paired with Create-related structure mods and popular additions like When Dungeons Arise to make the world feel alive.

DH SeedGen:
World generation was switched specifically to support Distant Horizons SeedGen —> an insanely fast LOD generator that generates your view distance in seconds with almost zero stuttering.

-> How it works?

Instead of loading full chunks, SeedGen reads terrain heightmaps directly from the seed to build distant LODs instantly with zero lag, and also being surface chunks only

how it runs on My system

  • CPU: Intel Core i7-9700 _(thermal throttling)_
  • GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 Super
  • RAM: 32GB DDR4
  • Shaderpack: Adiel’s Photon (v1.3b DH) edit

Performance: i get around 70-80 FPS even with all Distant Horizons LODs fully loaded.
