ToadCraft

This is the recommended modpack for the Toad Head server. You can still use Vanilla if you prefer, but we recommend this modpack. This modpack is essentially Optifine on steroids with a few extra optimisation mods. We encourage you to look at the mods list and make changes as you wish.
We have no plans to update the base game version unless required to. The ToadHead server is on 1.8, no need for newer versions.

Manual:

Disabled mods are optional. However, some optional mods are incompatible or require another mod to work.
Ps. I haven’t tested every possible configuration. Just follow the crash report that shows up.

Incompatibilities:

AdvancedLootInfo will not work without JEI or a similar mod.
JEI won’t work, Arcitechery crashes the game, no idea why.

Distant Horizons, Voxy, and Nvidium are all incompatible with each other, they all do the same thing but in their own magical way.
Nvidium, believe it or not, only works for Nvidia GPUs. Nvidium also uses a different version of Sodium than what is installed. You will need to downgrade/ upgrade Iris, Iris Shader Folder, Reese’s Sodium Options, and Sodium Extra. I am trying to figure this out.

Essential already has a zoom function, Zoomify isn’t necessary.
Essential Patcher requires Essential.
Replay mod does not work with Simple Voice chat nor Voxy. Install patches if you wish.

Vivecraft may have issues with VR and non-VR users.

About optional mods:

Axiom: A very cool mod that has similar features to World Edit and MCEdit.

Distant Horizons and Voxy: These two increase render distance by making farther things lower in quality. They do this in different ways. I personally use Voxy.
Nvidium does a similar thing, but using Nvidia magic, it just increases render distance at the same quality.

Essential: Adds cosmetics (most are paid BS), lets people join each other without a dedicated server, and a few other optimisations like zooming.
Essential Patcher: Essential has promotions and paid BS, Essential Patcher gives you more control over it all.

Jade: Here’s What You’re Looking At fork. Shows you what you are looking at.
Just Enough Items (JEI): The mod that shows all the items on the right. There are many alternatives such as REI and EMI. REI does not work because of an issue with architechery.

Litematica: Shows a hologram of blocks from a schematic. Useful if you have a cool build on creative and want to build it on a server.

LegacyFreecam: Adds freecam without any of the cheaty features, such as Voice Chat spying, going through walls, etc.

Not Enough Animations: Fresh Animations for players.
Fresh Animations: Better animations for mobs.

Replay mod: Replay recordings like a time-travelling spectator. You can install patch mods for other mods such as Simple Voice Chat, Voxy, etc.

Sound Physics Remastered: Echoes and other sound magic.

Vivecraft: Lets you play in VR and see VR users doing VR things.
