Far Flung Forests takes you to the places where the world’s rarest woods really grow: purpleheart in the rainforest, zebrawood on the savanna, ancient yew in the gloomy woods, kauri towering over its own cathedral of trunks. Every tree has its own shape and its own look, and every wood is a complete building set.

22 new woods

Purpleheart, Bloodwood, Zebrawood, Padauk, Teak, Walnut, Elm, Cork Oak, Yew, Hornbeam, Rowan, Beech, Ash, Linden, Ginkgo, Camphor, Kauri, Rimu, Lignum Vitae, Tamarind, Alder and Sweetgum.

Each wood comes with: log, stripped log, wood, stripped wood, planks, slab, stairs, fence, fence gate, button, pressure plate, door, trapdoor, sign, hanging sign, boat, chest boat, leaves, sapling, bookshelf and crafting table.

• Bookshelves boost enchanting tables just like vanilla ones.
• Saplings drop from leaves which you can grow.
• Leaves can be collected with Shears or Silk Touch.
• The planks work in every recipe that takes planks, and our crafting tables craft cleanly alongside vanilla’s.

• Woodlands and groves: Violet Deep, Emberstripe Veldt, Barkgold Dehesa, Hollowmere, Gloamwood Hollow, Silverbeech Glade, Lanternleaf Grove, Kauri Cathedral, Sunscorch Thicket, Mirewick, plus 21 grove variants such as Barrowyew Wood, Incense Grove, Rimu Gully and Alder Carr.
• Landscapes: meadows, heaths, steppes, moors, crags, pinnacles and tors, such as Larkspur Leas, Heatherback Moor, Cloudcap Crags and Opaline Tors.
• Deserts and snow: Saltglass Flats, Honeydune Expanse, Parchmud Basin, Glimmerfrost Steppe and Hoarwind Heath.
• Coasts and rivers: Pearlstrand, Amberstrand, Slatecoast, Clayback Reach and Mudbank Meander.
• Wetlands and sea: Tangleroot Mire, Sinkmoss Fen, Peatsmoke Bog, Pearlbed Shallows, Jadewater Lagoon, Silverkelp Shelf and Inkwater Deeps.

New ground blocks (rainforest loam, ember turf, laterite, leaf mould, amber sand, pearl sand and more) give each biome its own colour and feel.

Requirements

• TerraBlender (required for versions pre-26.3).

Biomes are added through TerraBlender, the same system used by other big biome mods, so they spread through your world alongside the vanilla ones.
