Light up your world with glowing, fully customisable neon signs!

Give your builds that late-night city-street glow. Neon Signs Unlimited adds craftable neon signs that you design yourself: pick a shape, type your own text straight onto it, choose a colour and font, and power it up with redstone. Shop fronts, taverns, arrows pointing the way, a “Beer” sign on your bar or your channel name in lights over your base. If you can type it, you can light it up.

🔤 Write Your Own Signs

• Type your text straight onto the sign in a live preview, so you see exactly how it will look before you place it
• Text is centred automatically as you type
• Press Enter for the next line and Tab to jump between boxes

🎨 Colours, Fonts and Style

• 24 neon colours to pick from, or type in any hex colour you like
• 7 fonts: Classic, Clean, Tech, Modern, Slim, Rune and Illager
• Brightness from 1 to 5. Brighter signs give off more light!
• Flicker: every now and then the sign flickers and gives off an electrical spark sound, just like they do in those Sci-Fi Movies. Prefer it steady? Just switch flicker off.
• Background: a solid dark backing, or clear so only the glowing tube and letters show

🧱 Place Them Anywhere

• Flat on a wall: aim straight at the wall
• Sticking out from a wall on a bracket: aim along the wall at an angle (great for shop signs over a street)
• Standing on a short post: place it on top of a block
• Hanging underneath a block: place it under a ceiling, archway or tunnel entrance
• Hold Shift to swap between flat and bracket placement
• A wireframe preview shows you exactly where the sign will go before you place it

⚡ Redstone Powered

• Signs light up when they get a redstone signal, so you can switch them on with a lever, button, daylight sensor or any redstone circuit you like
• Lit signs give off real light, so they brighten up the area around them at night

🧱 Powered Building Blocks (No Messy Wiring!)

Nobody wants redstone dust running all over a nice build. So the mod includes 88 powered building blocks that look just like normal blocks but with a small electrical panel on each side:

• Bricks, Cobblestone, Stone, Stone Bricks, Deepslate, Sandstone, Red Sandstone, Quartz, Nether Bricks and their variants
• Planks, Logs, Wood and Stripped versions of every wood type, including Cherry, Bamboo, Mangrove, Crimson and Warped

Put a redstone source (redstone block, lever, redstone dust and so on) next to a powered block and it carries the power on to any neon sign touching it. Build them right into your walls and your wiring stays hidden.

🛠️ How to Use

Crafting a Neon Sign

This gives you a blank sign. A blank sign can’t be placed until you’ve written on it.

Writing on Your Sign

1. Hold the blank sign and left-click to open the sign editor
2. Choose a shape on the left and type your text onto it
3. Pick your colour, font, brightness, flicker and background on the right
4. Click Done, then place your sign!

Changing a Sign Later

• Shift + right-click a placed sign with an empty hand to open the editor again
• When you break a sign, it keeps its text and settings, so you can move it somewhere else without retyping anything

Crafting Powered Blocks

Put any supported block + 1 redstone dust in a crafting grid (shapeless) to get the powered version. Changed your mind? Put the powered block back in the crafting grid on its own to get the normal block back.

📋 Good to Know

• Bracket and hanging signs only take redstone power through the block they are attached to
• Powered blocks only send power to neon signs, so they won’t mess up your other redstone contraptions
• The mod needs to be installed on both the client and the server
