Got a pickaxe with Fortune III that’s nearly worn out? Don’t lose that enchantment. Move it onto a book instead!

Enchantment Transference adds one new machine to Minecraft, the Enchantment Transferer. It takes the enchantments off any enchanted tool, weapon or piece of armour and puts them onto a book. Take the book to an anvil and put those enchantments on something else.

No more throwing away a great enchantment just because the item it was on is worn out!

🔮 What You Get

• The Enchantment Transferer. A crafted machine block that’s powered by amethyst shards.
• All the enchantments move together. Every enchantment on the item goes onto a single enchanted book.
• The item is kept. It comes back un-enchanted, with its durability unchanged.
• It looks and sounds magical. The machine glows while it works, with enchanting particles, amethyst chimes and a burst of magic when the book is ready.
• You can see the cost. The screen shows how many shards the job needs before it starts.

🛠️ How to Craft It

Mine it with a stone pickaxe or better to pick it back up.

📖 How to Use It

1. Place the machine. It turns to face you.
2. Right-click it to open the screen.
3. Put your enchanted item in the top-left slot.
4. Put a plain book in the slot underneath it.
5. Put amethyst shards in the slot below the arrow.
6. Wait about 5 seconds while the machine glows and hums with magic…
7. Collect your enchanted book from the output slot!

Then take the book to an anvil and put the enchantments on a brand-new item.

💎 Cost

1 amethyst shard for each enchantment moved. For example, a pickaxe with Fortune III and Unbreaking III costs 2 shards. No experience levels are needed.

• Install on: the client and the server (needed on both in multiplayer)
