🌲 Must Have Taller Trees

Vanilla trees, the way they always should have been. Twice as tall, wider and fuller canopies, real branches – and a woodland that’s actually alive, with songbirds, woodpeckers, bird’s nests and leaves drifting down around you.

No new wood types, no strange new trees to learn. Just the oaks, birches, spruces and jungle trees you already know, grown up properly.

🌳 Taller, Fuller Trees

• About double height – every vanilla tree is roughly twice as tall, including the ones you grow from saplings. Trees that are already huge (jungle giants, big oaks) grow by less, so nothing gets silly.
• Wider canopies – leaves spread about 1.4x wider, with extra ragged leaves so the tops look full and natural instead of stretched.
• Real branches – oaks, dark oaks and jungle trees can grow up to 4 side branches, each ending in its own clump of leaves.
• Lookout ladders – roughly 1 in 5 branching trees has a ladder up the trunk to a branch you can stand on. Climb up and take in the view or maybe hide from mobs!

🐦 Birds in the Canopy

• Bird’s nests – about 1 in 7 trees has a nest tucked away in its leaves. Break one to collect it and place it wherever you like.
• Songbirds – robins, blue tits, sparrows and bluebirds hatch from the nests in daylight. They flit about the treetops, chirp away, and flutter off if you get too close. They drop the odd feather too.
• Woodpeckers – some tall trunks have a woodpecker hole that blends right into the log. A woodpecker lives at each one, flies between nearby trunks and hovers beside the wood knocking away. 🔨

🍂 A Forest Floor Worth Looking At

• Fallen leaves – a scatter of leaves on the ground around new trees, tinted to match the biome and fading towards autumn brown. You walk straight through them.
• Falling leaves – leaves gently drift down from the canopies near you (purely visual, and you can switch it off).
• Mushrooms and podzol – some trees have a little podzol patch with mushrooms growing at their foot.
• Mossy fallen logs – now and then an old log lies nearby, covered in moss.

❓ Good to Know

• Only new chunks change. Trees already in your world stay as they were. Explore somewhere new or plant a sapling to see the difference.
• Saplings need more room. Taller trees need more clear space above them to grow, just like vanilla.
• Safe and quiet. If anything ever goes wrong with a tree type, that tree simply stays vanilla rather than crashing your game.
• Works on servers. Install on both the server and the client.
