Dappled Forest Raccoons

Raccoons come out at night in the Dappled Forest. They steal your stuff and wash their food before they eat it.

What they do

• Night only: they spawn only in the Dappled Forest, only at night. Their eyes glow from dusk to dawn.
• Steal items: a raccoon drops whatever it is doing to grab an item off the ground, then carries it in its mouth like a fox.
• Wash their food: they eat any food. If water is nearby, they run to the edge and wash it first.
• Sit up: they sit up like a panda, at random and to eat, and hold still while they do.
• Hunt fish: a fish near the surface sets off a hunt. The raccoon swims down, kills it and grabs the drop.
• Tame with meat: feed one raw or cooked meat, with a 1 in 3 chance each time. A tame raccoon follows you and never vanishes. Right-click it with an empty hand and it sits still, like a dog.
• Gone by day: in daylight, a wild raccoon nobody can see soon vanishes. Anything it stole drops first.

3. Drop this one file in your mods folder

A spawn egg is included. There is nothing to set up.
