Every mob you take down puts a bigger price on your head. How high can you push it before you fall?

Wanted For Kills adds an old Wild West wanted poster to your screen, and you’re the outlaw on it. Your own skin’s face is printed in black and white on weathered paper, and the reward underneath grows with every hostile mob you kill. If you die, the poster is torn down and the reward drops back to $0.

It’s a simple, just-for-fun mod in the spirit of chasing a high score on an old arcade machine. It has no effect on gameplay and nothing to grind for except bragging rights. The goal is to stay alive, keep fighting and reach MOST WANTED.

✨ Features

• 📜 Your own wanted poster. A Wild West poster sits in the bottom-left corner of your screen, out of the way of a minimap you might have on the top left or right.
• 🖤 Your face, in print. The poster uses your actual skin’s head (hat layer included), turned into a grainy black-and-white print.
• 💰 A growing reward. Every hostile mob you kill adds to your bounty. The number rolls up on the poster, and a gold +$ popup floats beside it.
• ⭐ Wanted Levels. You reach a new level at certain milestones. Each one has its own on-screen announcement, a shimmer across the poster and a Wild West tune played on banjo, guitar and drums.
• 🎆 MOST WANTED. Hit the maximum and you get a drum roll, a big finish with fireworks, a shaking MOST WANTED title across your screen, and a red MOST WANTED stamp on your poster.
• 💀 Death resets the reward. Die and your reward drops back to $0, with a sad little bass note. Then you start again.
• 💾 Saved with your world. Your bounty is kept when you quit and reload, and it stays with you when you travel between dimensions.
• ⌨️ Show or hide it any time. Press K to toggle the poster. You can change the key in Controls, under Wanted For Kills.
• 🖥️ Fits your screen. On smaller windows the poster shrinks a little so it never overlaps your hotbar.

🎯 Bounty Rewards

Only kills you make yourself count. Kills by tamed wolves or other mobs don’t.

🏆 Wanted Levels

Each level has a bigger celebration than the one before. You’ll know when you get there.

Multiplayer: install the mod on both the server and every player’s game. Each player has their own poster and their own bounty.

❓ FAQ

Does the bounty do anything? No, it’s purely for fun. Think of it as a high score you carry around with you.

Can I move the poster? It always sits in the bottom-left corner so it stays clear of minimaps etc. You can hide it with K whenever you like.

Will it work in my modpack? Yes. It only adds a screen overlay and a saved number, so it should work alongside most mods.

Do kills from modded mobs count? Not in this version. Only the vanilla hostile mobs listed above add to your bounty.
