The New Nifty 18

This modpack was designed with ~9GB of memory dedicated to Minecraft, allotting less may result in hangs.

If your game makes an awful sound like your headphones are breaking, that means your tool is close to breaking.

Known Bugs:

• Villagers interact strangely with double doors, having fits of rapidly opening and closing them, and can open only one of the pair, after which player interaction with the doors will open one and close one, meaning the player cannot fully close the doors anymore.

This is my gentle modpack, updated to 1.18. Ore frequency is turned up, there are multiple ways to get things done, and most formerly hostile mobs are now neutral – they’ll fight back if attacked, but will leave you alone otherwise (other mobs are fair game though). Open ended gameplay, no questbook.

Contains a full suite of QOL mods, including:

• an automatic map/minimap (Journeymap)
• lookup of recipes (JEI)
• information about the block you are looking at (Jade, TOP for extended info)
• veinmining (FTB Ultimine)
• and much more!

Contains a number of tech and magic mods, including:

• Immersive Engineering – a realistic tech mod with multiblock industrial machines which do things such as grind ore, create a variant of coal that burns longer, and create steel
• Integrated Dynamics (and many companion mods) – a tech mod focused on creating networks to automate tasks and display information
• Create – a whimsical tech mod where you can create multiblock sequences of different machines to accomplish various tasks
• Ars Nouveau – a magic mod with spellmaking, rituals, summons, etc.
• Botania – a nature themed magic mod about constructing Rube Goldberg machines involving powering magic flowers to create powerful artifacts and effects
• Occultism – a magic mod focused on ritual summoning of helpful spirits

Many decoration and structures mods, including:

• Macaw’s Mods – a series of mods which add varieties of various architectural features, such as more windows, roofs, bridges, fences, etc.
• Chisels and Bits – a mod which adds a mechanic by which you can “carve” blocks to create sculptures or whatever form you would like
• Mr Crayfish’s Furniture Mod – adds a wide variety of furniture, much of it functional
• When Dungeons Arise – a mod that generates large dungeons full of loot and enemies
• Valhelsia Structues – a mod that adds various structures to worldgen, such as abandoned houses, ruins, and small dungeons
