The New Nifty 12

A port of my New Nifty modpack to 1.12. Taking the opportunity to experiment with some new mods, like Forestry and Embers. It’s a little rougher but more up to date than the 1.10 pack, while keeping things like the increased and unified ore distribution and multiple routes to resources. Like all of my modpacks, it’s mostly played on peaceful, so that is what most of the testing and balancing is aimed at. It now contains the mod Apathetic Mobs, which causes hostile mobs to instead act like neutral mobs (only attack when attacked first), removing the need to play on peaceful. In general, I like Minecraft as a chill construction set with light survival elements, so this isn’t the pack for you if you’re looking for a challenge.

Notable differences from vanilla to be aware of:

-If your computer makes a horrible squelching sound like your speakers are glitching when you switch to/use/scroll through a tool, that means that that tool has low durability and is about to break,

-As mentioned above, the Apathetic Mobs mod causes hostile mobs to instead act like neutral mobs, only attacking if you attacked them first

-“Trampling” crops (where if you jump on farmland it is reverted to plain dirt) is disabled, so you don’t have to worry about sheep jumping off a ledge and ruining your farm

-Clay spawns underground as well as underwater

-If a pet dies, it should be resurrected next to you the next time you sleep in a bed
