Wardflame

A mega torch for Fabric 26.3: no hostile mob spawns naturally within 64 blocks of a Ward Torch, even while you are away.

What it does

• The Ward Torch, a mega torch: while it stands, no hostile mob spawns naturally within 64 blocks of it, in every direction.
• Build in peace: bases, farms, villages and the land around them stay free of zombies, skeletons, creepers and spiders that would spawn there.
• Passive animals still spawn. Monster spawners, raids and mobs that walk in from outside are untouched, so mob farms beyond the range keep working.
• It keeps guarding while you are far away and its chunk is unloaded: the torch positions are saved with the world.
• Gives full light, burns with a living flame, and breaks with an axe to be moved.
• Recipe: three torches over gold ingots, a diamond and a log.
• Config config/wardflame.json: radius (64).
• Switch it off: redstone power next to a Ward Torch stops its warding, so a mob farm in range can run.
• No phantoms: phantoms are refused within range of a Ward Torch too, so a base under a torch sleeps through the night.
• Check a torch: use a Ward Torch with an empty hand and the action bar says how far it guards, or that redstone has switched it off.
• Count the torches: sneak and use a Ward Torch with an empty hand and the action bar says how many stand in this dimension.
• /wardflame: counts the Ward Torches in your dimension and gives the distance to the nearest.
