Raw’s Torch Fix

This mod allows to configure the amount of light a regular torch emits. The burn time of a torch can also be configured. With this configurability, the torches can be balanced and incentives players to use different lighting items for more viable and permanent lighting of their word.

Burn time
randomTicks are used, just like how crops are growing, to destroy torches over time. This can be configured in the config. There is a separate value to be set for when torches are in rain.

Light level
The light level is in the common config folder. When a client connects, the servers value is used to update the client’s common config file. Then the client needs to restart, because the light levels of blocks are defined on the startup of the game. If Server and client have the same light level, there will be no notice of this.

Minecraft’s torch light level is 14 where 15 is the maximum possible emission level of a block.
This mod defaults this value to 9 and makes it configurable from 0-15.
