R-UI Lib

Reusable interface components for Minecraft mods

Mod screens can feel inconsistent and cumbersome when every control is built differently. R-Ui Lib gives mods a shared set of clear, reusable interface components for settings, item filters, menus, and other screens.

R-Ui Lib is a library: it adds no standalone screens, items, or blocks. You see it through the Minecraft mods that use it.

Screens and layouts

Keep information and controls organized.

• Arrange content in rows, columns, grids, tabs, cards, and scrollable areas.
• Use panels, labels, progress bars, and tables to make screens easier to scan.
• Choose a Dark or Light theme and adjust colors, spacing, and other visual settings.

Controls and feedback

Give each screen familiar ways to make choices and see what happened.

• Use buttons, toggles, sliders, text fields, dropdowns, and segmented choices.
• Show dialogs, tooltips, and toast notifications.
• Selectable cards can contain their own interactive controls.

Item selection

Let players choose items without rearranging their inventory.

• Show item previews, filter slots, and inventory grids.
• Pick an item from the inventory and place its reference into a supported filter slot; the original stack stays in the inventory.
• With JEI installed, drag an item from JEI into a supported filter slot.

Colors and previews

Adjust color choices and preview them before applying.

• Pick colors with RGB sliders or hexadecimal input, then apply or cancel the preview.
• Use color swatches and scalable item previews in a screen.
• Scroll through wide groups of components without crowding the screen.

Build your mod’s interface with the library’s guides and examples.

• Integrate R-Ui Lib into a mod.
• Browse an example for each component.
• Learn about components and themes.
• Try the development playground.
• Check supported loaders and validation.
• Read the Português (Brasil) documentation.

Install R-Ui Lib alongside a mod that uses it, with matching Minecraft and loader versions. Open that mod’s screen to use the controls it provides.

Heads up: R-Ui Lib does not add its own screen or gameplay content. The available interface depends on the mod using the library.

• Minecraft 1.20.1 with Forge 47.4.20 or newer
• Minecraft 1.21.1 with NeoForge 21.1.236 or newer
• Install R-Ui Lib on the client and server when a mod you use requires it.
• JEI is optional: JEI 15 for Forge, or JEI 19+ for NeoForge. It enables dragging items into supported filter slots.

Report an issue on GitHub. Include your Minecraft version, loader, the mod whose screen is affected, and steps to reproduce the problem. A screenshot or relevant log excerpt can help.
