EpicFight-MCA Patch Hitbox Fix

MC-Epicly-A: Legacy Hitbox Fix is an unofficial corrective fork of Epic Fight MCA Patch, originally created by Forixaim (Hardek).

This project exists to preserve the original Forge 1.20.1 integration between MCA Reborn and Epic Fight while fixing a critical hit-detection issue present in the original 1.20.1 build.

What does this fork change?

Only the player hit-detection behavior has been corrected.

In the original 1.20.1 build, MCA villagers could incorrectly reject attacks originating from players while the Epic Fight integration was active.

This caused:

• Epic Fight melee attacks against MCA villagers to be treated as misses.

• Normal player attacks to fail in certain situations.

• Player-owned projectiles, including arrows, to deal no damage to MCA villagers.

This fork removes the two unconditional damage blockers responsible for that behavior.

What does this fork NOT change?

The goal of this project is to remain as close as possible to the original Epic Fight MCA Patch for Minecraft 1.20.1.

It does not add new gameplay content.

The following systems remain from the original mod:

• MCA villager rendering.

• MCA skins, hair and clothing layers.

• Epic Fight animations for MCA villagers.

• Guard combat integration.

• Guard AI behavior.

• Original configuration options.

• Original entity patches and rendering integration.

No new weapons, armor, recipes, mobs, progression systems or balance changes are included.

• MCA Reborn 7.6.x

Development and testing were performed primarily with:

• Epic Fight 20.14.17

• MCA Reborn 7.6.28-beta.10

Installation

This mod is intended to replace the original Forge 1.20.1 Epic Fight MCA Patch build.

Do not install both versions at the same time, as they use the same mod ID and may conflict.
