Human Nature

A realistic survival physiology and trauma mod for Minecraft 1.21.1 on NeoForge and Forge. Instead of persistent HUD clutter, it tracks bodily health per limb and lets you inspect and treat injuries directly from an inventory tab.

Features

1. 6-Part Body Trauma

• Tracked Regions: Head, Torso, Main Hand, Off Hand, Left Leg, Right Leg.

• Tier 1 (Minor): Reduces movement and attack speed, locks sprinting, pauses natural healing, and tilts the camera on footsteps.

• Tier 2 (Major): Cuts movement speed by 85%, locks jumping and off-hand interactions, lowers max health, and forces crawling when legs fracture.

• Armor & Mitigation: Vanilla enchantments (Feather Falling, Protection) raise bone fracture thresholds.

• Pain Shock: Severe fractures trigger heartbeat audio, screen shaking, and brief blackouts.

2. Physiology & Vital Strain

• Sleep Fatigue: Staying awake past 3 in-game days causes periodic darkness blinks, locks sprinting, and slows mining speed.

• Soulslike Buildup Meters: Intercepts instant Poison and Wither into a 0%–100% buildup bar. Debuffs only apply once full; clears passively or instantly with milk and honey.

• Dynamic Scaling: Toxicity buildup accelerates when sleep-deprived or suffering active fractures.

• Physical Exertion: Continuous mining, chopping, sprinting, or swimming triggers heavy breathing and lowered attack speed. Rest for 3–4 seconds to recover.

3. Temperature & Exposure

• Wetness & Freezing: Standing in rain without a helmet or swimming accumulates wetness, inducing vanilla freezing (TicksFrozen), camera shivering, and sluggish movement.

• Heat Sources: Stand near campfires (#minecraft:campfires), lit furnaces, or lava to dry off quickly.

• Hot Food: Hot vanilla stews (Mushroom, Rabbit, Beetroot, Bone Broth) clear chill instantly and grant temporary cold resistance.

4. Minimalist Interface

• Diagnostic Tab (H): Inspect limb trauma, temperature, and toxicity on a body silhouette; apply splints directly to limbs in the UI.

• Cycle HUD: Toggle modes (OFF -> INJURY -> PHYSIOLOGY -> ENVIRONMENT); toxicity meters auto-hide when empty.
