Blood that actually behaves like blood.

Most blood mods spawn particles or paste a static texture. Hematic simulates it: blood splashes, flows, drips over edges, settles on surfaces, smears when you walk through it and dissolves in water. Every hit leaves a mark on the world.

✨ Features

Physics, not particles

• Distinct splashes for melee hits, projectiles, falls and explosions
• Blood pours over block edges instead of floating in the air
• Persistent stains on floors, walls and ceilings, with smearing and contact transfer
• Fading red trails when blood enters water

Every hit tells a story

• Blood on creatures, armor and vanilla swords & axes
• Bullets carry blood along the line of the shot, with exit wounds
• Magma blood (magma cubes, blazes) glows like embers and dims as it cools and dries
• Optional gore pieces

Your style, your rules

• Pixel style by default (fits vanilla), plus Realistic (Alpha)
• Gameplay mode: Realistic (default) or Arcade
• Configurable blood amount, creature and item visibility, gore and graphics settings

🧪 Sandbox tools

Find them in the creative inventory:

• Paint Gun: paint the world, with a radial mode menu.
• Cleaning Brush: hold right-click and move it across a surface to smear and gradually remove stains. Shift + right-click on water rinses the brush.

⚡ Performance

Hematic is hard-capped so it never runs away with your FPS: at most 96 physics drops at once and 24 drops per hit. Graphics settings let you scale it down even further on weaker PCs.

✅ You may include Hematic in any modpack. No need to ask, though I’d love to hear about it on Discord.

🔧 Requirements

Install the same Hematic version on the server and all clients.

Shader compatibility is still being tested. If something looks off with your shader pack, please report it.
