Cobblemon Field Moves: Vaniron’s Fork

About This Mod

This is a modified fork of the original Cobblemon Field Moves mod created by TimInc.

Why the fork?

I created this fork to keep the mod compatible with newer Cobblemon versions. It currently supports Cobblemon 1.8 on Minecraft 1.21.1 (Fabric).

Features

Synchronized natures

If the Pokémon in the first slot of your party has the Synchronize ability, wild Pokémon have a chance to share its nature (100% by default, as in the main games).

Charmed genders

If the Pokémon in the first slot of your party has the Cute Charm ability, wild Pokémon have a chance to be the opposite gender (2/3 by default, as in the main games). Genderless and single-gender species aren’t affected.

Choose when abilities apply

Server owners can pick when Synchronize and Cute Charm take effect:

• On spawn (default): wild Pokémon are affected as they spawn near you, just like in the main games. What you see is what you catch.
• On capture: the Pokémon is affected the moment it’s caught. This also covers fishing, bait and Poké Snack encounters.

Configuration

All settings are in config/field_moves.json, with a comment explaining each option:

• trigger: "spawn" or "capture"
• synchronizeChance: the chance for Synchronize to apply (0.0–1.0)
• cuteCharmChance: the chance for Cute Charm to apply (0.0–1.0)
• debug: logs every activation to the server console

Apply changes without restarting with /fieldmoves reload (operators only). If the file contains a mistake, the reload is rejected, your previous settings stay active, and the error tells you exactly where the problem is.
