With this mod you can store different types of items without caring about slot count.

By default your storage holds up to 2304 capacity and 108 slots.

How much capacity an item takes depends on its max stack size. A full stack always costs 64, so:

a stack of 64 (stone, dirt, most blocks) costs 1 per item
a stack of 16 (ender pearls, snowballs, eggs) costs 4 per item
an unstackable item (tools, potions, armour) costs 64

At the default 2304 you can hold 36 full stacks, 36 swords, or up to 108 slots of mixed single items.

Chests, barrels and shulker boxes work the same way. A container gets 64 capacity per slot by default, so a chest holds 1728, and that can be changed in the config, including per block type.

When your storage holds more rows than the screen shows, a scrollbar appears and the mouse wheel scrolls. The capacity bar is drawn under the inventory panel and on top of a container’s panel. The text under it shows slots and capacity.
