Applied Energistics 2: Fabricated

Unofficial port. This is a community port of Applied Energistics 2 to Fabric. It is not made, endorsed or supported by the AE2 team. Please report bugs on GitHub, not to the AE2 team.

What is Applied Energistics 2?

Applied Energistics 2 is a storage and automation mod built around the ME network:

• Digital storage: keep thousands of items and fluids on storage cells and reach all of it from one terminal.
• Autocrafting: encode patterns, build crafting CPUs and let the network craft whole recipe trees on demand.
• Logistics: import and export buses, storage buses, interfaces and P2P tunnels move items, fluids and energy wherever you need them.
• Channels: plan cables, smart cables and dense cables to carry your network’s channels.
• Spatial storage: cut out a whole area of the world, store it in a cell and put it back somewhere else.
• Quantum bridges: connect networks across any distance, even between dimensions.

About this port

The AE2 team releases for NeoForge only. Fabricated ports their code to Fabric and keeps it as close to the original as possible: same blocks, items, recipes and mechanics, same mod ID (ae2), and the same appeng.api for addons.

Requires Fabric API. Team Reborn Energy is included, so AE2 works with other Fabric energy mods.

Every version passes AE2’s own automated tests (ME networks, autocrafting, P2P, spatial IO, channels and more), and each one was checked in-game with a scripted playtest. These are still alpha releases, so back up your worlds.

Differences from AE2 on NeoForge

• Fluid amounts use Fabric’s units (81,000 per bucket), so worlds can’t be moved between the NeoForge and Fabric versions.
• No in-game guidebook (it depends on GuideME, which is NeoForge-only).
• No Curios or The One Probe integration (both NeoForge-only).
• On 26.x, the spatial storage dimension uses the normal sky, clouds and weather.
• No in-game config screen. Settings are in config/ae2-client.toml and config/ae2-common.toml.

Applied Energistics 2 is made by AlgorithmX2 and Team AppliedEnergistics. All of its content, code and art are theirs. The Fabric port is by Fatin-Ishraq.
