More Ores More Fun

More Ores More Fun combines mining, giant-tree building and rare woodland discoveries with practical exploration and crafting tools. Starting with version 0.1.1, the core and all six companion add-ons are included in one mod download on this project.

Mining, forestry and treehouses

• Mine additional ores and craft material-specific tools and armor.
• Grow enormous trees as foundations for your own treehouse bases. Arrange 23 matching plants in a 5-by-5 pattern with two opposite corners empty. Manually grown trees do not include prebuilt houses.
• Explore ancient groves and treehouse sanctuaries using the Ancient Treehouse World preset.
• Discover the universal treehouse and its limited Vesperwood supply. This secret purple wood has no renewable sapling source.
• Collect wood-specific resins and build with resin clumps and species-specific lamp designs.
• Consult the in-game field manual for forestry and other mod systems.

Included companion features

• Canopy Routes: hanging rope ladders and landing cushions that reduce fall damage by 80%, rather than making falls harmless.
• Deep Delver: a durability-limited prospecting lens with a six-block search radius, nearest-ore directions, an offhand ore filter and a sneak-use census.
• Resin Field Kit: bandages that restore up to two hearts, underwater air pouches and dispenser support for supply stations.
• Treehouse Builder: 39 woodworking recipes for building components.
• Resin Workshop: four raw-resin utility recipes for torches, candles, sticky pistons and leads.
• Carpenter’s Salvage: 74 conservative material-recovery recipes, without creating a free Vesperwood source.

Installation and upgrading

Requires Minecraft Java Edition 1.20.1, Fabric Loader 0.16.9 or newer, Java 17 or newer, and Fabric API for 1.20.1.

Install the 0.1.1 consolidated JAR from this project’s Files tab plus Fabric API. The six companion add-ons are embedded and do not need separate downloads. Fabric may list their module names separately even though they are installed through one JAR.

When upgrading from the earlier seven-file setup, back up your worlds and replace the old More Ores More Fun core JAR and its six companion JARs with the consolidated JAR. Keep your worlds and configuration files. Original mod IDs and resource namespaces are retained.

For custom ancient biomes and sanctuaries, select Ancient Treehouse World when creating a world. No guaranteed sanctuary seed is advertised for this build.

Beta status and feedback

Version 0.1.1 consolidates the September 17 core and companion builds; it does not claim additional gameplay fixes. On 4 November 2026, the exact combined JAR passed dedicated-server startup, world creation, resource reload, saving/restart and client connection checks. A headless suite passed 6,863 assertions covering crafting recipes, the prospecting lens, bandages, underwater air pouches, healing dispensers, rope ladders, landing cushions, refinery processing/persistence and 23-sapling giant oak growth. Packaged model/texture checks found no unresolved references. These focused checks do not cover every feature, long-running multiplayer, sanctuary generation or every mod combination. Back up existing worlds before trying this beta.
