NeoCraft Core

NeoCraft Core is the custom gameplay foundation developed for the NeoCraft roleplay modpack. It adds physical currency, official documents, counterfeit mechanics, document verification, and a complete civil registry system designed for multiplayer and RP servers.

Although it was created for NeoCraft, the mod can also be used in other roleplay-focused modpacks and servers.

Main Features

Currency and Documents

• NeoDollar — the official NeoCraft currency.
• Official Paper — required by official institutions to issue documents.
• Unofficial Paper — used in counterfeit production.
• Citizen Card — a personal identification document containing civil information.
• Counterfeit NeoDollar — an illegal version of the official currency.
• Incomplete items used during custom production processes.

Civil Registry Computer

NeoCraft Core adds a placeable computer with a native Minecraft interface for managing civil records.

The system includes:

• Secure login with configurable credentials.
• Persistent records saved directly in the world.
• Automatic registration numbers using the NC-000001 format.
• Citizen registration.
• Civil registry browsing.
• Record editing.
• Citizen Card issuance and reprints.
• Support for both players and roleplay NPCs.
• Official Paper consumption when issuing or reprinting a card.

Citizen records are not tied to Minecraft usernames, allowing server administrators to register fictional characters and NPCs.

Counterfeit and Verification System

Counterfeit currency and documents can be produced through custom recipes and Create processing.

The Verification Pen can inspect an entire stack of NeoDollars or a Citizen Card:

• The pen has 32 uses.
• One durability point is consumed for each inspected item.
• Each inspection has a 33% chance of detecting a counterfeit.
• An entire stack receives only one verification roll.
• Detected counterfeits receive a visible red warning and enchantment glint.
• A counterfeit that passes inspection is validated and can no longer be identified as fake.
• Results are displayed above the hotbar instead of in chat.

This system was designed to support police investigations, illegal economies, government institutions, and other roleplay scenarios.

Create Integration

NeoCraft Core uses Create for several production processes, including:

• Unofficial Paper production through Sequenced Assembly.
• Counterfeit currency processing.
• Money laundering using water in a Create Mixer.
• Forged Citizen Card production.

Create is a required dependency.

Requirements

• Minecraft: 1.21.1
• Mod Loader: NeoForge 21.1.250 or newer
• Create: 6.0.10 or newer
• Java: 21
• The mod must be installed on both the client and server.

Initial Civil Registry Setup

When the Civil Registry Computer is used for the first time, the server creates:

config/neocraft-registry.properties

Default credentials:

Username: prefeitura
Password: neocraft

Server administrators should change these credentials before using the system in production.

Civil registry records are stored inside the world and remain available after server restarts.

Important for Existing NeoCraft Installations

If you previously used KubeJS scripts to register NeoCraft items, remove or disable any scripts that register the same neocraft:* item IDs before installing NeoCraft Core.

Keeping both versions active may prevent Minecraft from starting because of duplicate registrations.

Backing up the world before installing or updating the mod is strongly recommended.
