Grubies is a lightweight mod that adds consumable grubs to soil blocks, turning your world into a dynamic, trippy experience—with a twist of random status effects!

How It Works

Dig for Grubs: Break shovel-mineable blocks (like dirt, grass, or coarse dirt) with any shovel for a chance to drop a block-bound Grub.

Eat & Trip: Consuming a grub triggers procedurally generated GLSL post-processing shaders and OpenAL audio distortions. Each grub’s trip is tied to its origin block seed, so different grubs hit differently!

Overdose & Effect Combos: Eating another grub while already tripping combines the active seeds and rewards (or punishes) you with a random Minecraft Mob Effect (like Strength, Levitation, Speed, or Nausea).

Features

Custom Post-Processing Shaders: Visual warping featuring depth-buffer geometry waves, heat distortion, chromatic lens melt, bloom, color grading, and radial blur.

Dynamic Audio Engine: Real-time OpenAL muffling, pitch-shifting, and wobbling that distorts the world’s soundscape.

Modular Mixer GUI: Open an in-game synth-style patch-pult using /grubtest gui to manually tweak or test all visual and audio parameters.

Shader Compatible: Built with an isolated standalone pipeline so it runs alongside other post-processing mods.
