Anvil | HTSL Workspace

Anvil brings Housing scripting to modern Minecraft. Write your Housing logic as simple .htsl scripts, press Import, and Anvil walks the Housing menus for you, placing every action, condition and value. Open any action list and press Export to turn it back into a script. It is a native Fabric mod for 1.21, built from scratch, and fully compatible with the HTSL language you already know.

HTSL? BHTSL?

HTSL is the original ChatTriggers module for 1.8.9 that made Housing scripting possible: a small scripting language plus menu automation to import and export actions. BHTSL is a fork of HTSL by Builderboy271 that fixed bugs and added features, and it is the dialect Anvil speaks. Scripts written for HTSL or BHTSL work in Anvil, and Anvil’s compiler is validated against BHTSL itself so imports behave the same, quirks included.

Anvil is not a port. It is a full rewrite as a standalone Fabric mod for modern Minecraft, with everything rebuilt: the compiler, the menu navigation, the exporter and the interface.

What Anvil adds

A workspace, in game

• File panel next to every Housing menu: folders, drag and drop, rename, duplicate, bookmarks, fuzzy search, and one click import or export
• Export straight into a folder by selecting it first
• Code editor with syntax highlighting, snippets, placeholder autocomplete, tabs and an optional full screen mode
• Save any item as a reusable .json by clicking it, and give saved items back to yourself

Imports

• Live progress card with an accurate time estimate and your real ping
• Optional roundtrip verification: after importing, Anvil reads everything back out of Housing and compares it to your script
• Values Housing rejects are reported instead of silently lost

Exports

• Drill in exports read every value, including ones Housing truncates, and capture items as sidecar files or inline data
• Whole custom menu export: every element’s item and actions in one file
• Export all functions, commands, events, regions or custom menus in one command, or export everything at once into a single house folder

Custom menus fully supported

• Import into menu element slots, place the element items automatically, and declare the menu size with a menusize directive that Anvil applies and verifies

Housing Search

• Browse the regions, commands, functions, custom menus and players of the house you are in, with fuzzy search, and jump into any of them with a double click

Modern and comfortable

• All 1.21 sounds, modern items and components
• Utility modules: anti chest break, anti cursor wipe, persistent creative search
• Clean chat by default, with a debug mode when you want the details!
