NeoTech

NeoTech is a Vanilla+ tech modpack for Minecraft 1.21.1 on NeoForge. It pairs Mekanism and Actually Additions with quality-of-life and performance mods that support a long survival world. There are no quests or gated progression, so you choose what to build first.

Tech and Automation

• Mekanism with Generators, Additions, and Tools: ore multiplication, gas and fluid processing, solar, wind, and gas-burning generators, fission and fusion reactors, and tiered tools and armor.
• Actually Additions: Crusher, Empowerer, Atomic Reconstructor, and laser relays for moving items and energy.

Storage and Logistics

• Refined Storage: a digital storage network with autocrafting.
• Mekanism transporters, pipes, and cables move items, fluids, gases, and energy.
• Pipe Connector helps run pipes underground without digging out the blocks first.
• Sophisticated Backpacks: backpacks with upgrades for pickup, filtering, and crafting.

Mining and Exploration

• EGMD adds separate mining dimensions for the Overworld, the Nether, and the End.
• Pathlighter places torches as you walk through dark areas while holding a mining tool, and crafts more torches from your coal and sticks when you run out.
• FTB Ultimine mines connected ores and logs at once.
• Waystones for fast travel and JourneyMap for a minimap and world map.
• Lootr gives every player their own loot from each dungeon chest.

Building and Quality of Life

• Building Wands and Macaw’s Bridges for large builds.
• Saplanting replants dropped saplings, and Leaves Be Gone makes leaves decay quickly.
• String Crafting from Wool turns wool back into string.

Information and Inventory

• JEI shows recipes, and Just Enough Resources shows ore distribution and mob drops.
• Jade shows block and entity info, AppleSkin shows food values, and Enchantment Descriptions explains each enchantment.
• Light Overlay marks the blocks where mobs can spawn.
• Mouse Tweaks, Inventory Tweaks ReFoxed, Crafting Tweaks, and TrashSlot speed up inventory management.

Visuals

• Sodium and Iris handle rendering and shaders.
• Complementary Reimagined is included and on by default. To turn it off, open Options > Video Settings > Shader Packs.

Performance

Sodium, ModernFix, FerriteCore, ImmediatelyFast, Entity Culling, AllTheLeaks, AI Improvements, Clumps, FastWorkbench, and FastFurnace reduce memory use and lag.

Requirements

• Minecraft 1.21.1 with NeoForge 21.1.262
• Java 21
• 8 GB of RAM allocated (recommended)
• The server pack reserves 8 GB of RAM at startup.
