Build your chrome. Take the job. Survive the response.

Night City: Afterlight brings a cyberpunk-inspired survival world to Minecraft 1.20.1 Forge, connecting Project: Edgerunner and Edgerunner: Night City Mobs through city generation, fixer contracts, civilian life, and escalating corporate retaliation.

Welcome to Night City

Generate a city centered around your starting spawn, with towering Arasaka and Militech headquarters, district neighborhoods, bars, markets, apartments, parks, and ripperdoc clinics.

Civilians patrol the sidewalks, NPC-driven traffic circulates through the streets, and visible cyberpsychos send nearby civilians running.

Beyond the city lies a dry badlands wilderness with dunes, terraced terrain, mineable caves, and guarded bandit camps stocked with useful supplies and cyberware materials.

Find a fixer. Earn your chrome.

Visit fixers in Afterlife and other district bars to accept contracts and build street cred. Higher reputation unlocks more dangerous work, from clearing Maelstrom camps and hunting cyberpsychos to stealing corporate data.

Rewards focus on materials used by Project: Edgerunner’s crafting progression. Visit generated ripperdoc clinics to trade with actual ripperdoc villagers and use their surgical workstations.

The hardest contracts lead into corporate towers—and stealing from Arasaka can put you face-to-face with Adam Smasher.

The city is watching

Killing civilians can trigger a police response when another civilian witnesses the crime. Continued violence and sustained pursuit escalate the threat:

Tier 1: NCPD patrol officers.
Tier 2: Augmented officers and troop cars.
Tier 3: Militech intervention.
Tier 4: Arasaka armored response.
Tier 5: Corporate containment, including tanks.
Tier 6: Adam Smasher.

Break line of sight to escape ordinary pursuit. Once Smasher receives your contract, running only buys time: he can return later with his remaining health. Defeat him to make Arasaka and the other corporations back off temporarily.

Getting started

Create a new world using the Night City: Afterlight world type. Find Afterlife west of spawn, or use /nightcity for guidance.

All dependencies required by those mods.

Edgerunner Extras is optional.

World generation and camp changes apply to newly generated chunks. A fresh world is recommended. This mod is in active development; gameplay balance, performance, and compatibility may change between releases.
