Legendary Monsters & Nouveau

Bring monster powers into your spellbook.

Legendary Monsters & Nouveau is an unofficial integration that turns selected Legendary Monsters abilities into 30 Ars Nouveau glyphs, powered by Ars Conflux.

Combine native monster projectiles and effects with Ars casting methods and supported augments to create your own spell arrangements.

Features

Storms and frost: Cloud Bolt, Electric Wave, Capturing Tornado, Ground Lightning, Frost Spike and Energy Beam.
Fire and poison: Fire Column, Fire Breath, Poisonous Shockwave and lingering Poison Field.
Shulker magic: Giant Shulker Bullet and Gravity Shulker Bullet.
Soul weapons and protection: Soul Blade, Falling Soul Blade, Soul Pillar, Phantom Dagger, Soul Trident, Soul Shield, Soul Strike and Soul Javelin.
Annihilation magic: bombs, beams, attack portals, plasma orbs, geysers and ground attacks.
Chorus Bomb, configurable Mana costs and cooldowns, and English / Simplified Chinese localization.

Build Your Own Spells

Arrangement	Result
Projectile → Cloud Bolt → Amplify	Launch an empowered native cloud projectile.
Projectile → Capturing Tornado → Extend Time	Send out a tornado that captures enemies and releases them when it ends.
Touch → Frost Spike	Raise an ice spike from suitable ground at your chosen point.
Touch → Poison Field	Create a lingering toxic area at the impact.
Self → Fire Breath	Breathe native fire, consuming Mana while active.
Touch → Annihilation Portal	Place an attacking portal at your chosen location.

Projectile replacements are augments applied to supported Ars projectile forms. Other abilities appear as effects. Each glyph accepts the modifiers appropriate to its behavior.

Native entities provide the characteristic models, particles, sounds and impact effects. Conflux supplies shared projectile-form integration, targeting, resource handling and spell contexts. Self, allied-entity and fixed-position execution depend on the individual ability.

Earn the Glyphs

Craft glyphs at the Scribe’s Table, using a Source Gem, the corresponding Legendary Monsters materials and experience. Then use the glyph item to learn it.

All glyphs default to Ars Tier 1. Progression comes from obtaining their source materials, rather than requiring a higher-tier spellbook. Some trophies can be divided into smaller crafting materials; check the individual recipes.

Mana and Balance

Imported abilities charge their additional Ars Mana cost when they activate. Sustained beams and breath effects pay for continued output. Ordinary Ars method and augment costs still apply.

Supported damage benefits from Ars augments and spell-damage equipment. Maximum-health damage components are capped by default, with configurable safeguards. Native damage intervals and invulnerability frames still apply; not every projectile or damage attempt will hit.

Mana costs, supported durations, cooldowns and other ability settings can be adjusted in legendary_nouveau-server.toml. The addon does not add a new chant system; ability cooldowns default to zero unless configured.

Requirements

Available for Minecraft 1.21.1 / NeoForge and Minecraft 1.20.1 / Forge. Install on both the client and server:

Ars Nouveau and its dependencies
Ars Conflux, matching the chosen addon file
Legendary Monsters and its dependencies

Other Nouveau integration addons, including Iron & Nouveau, Goety & Nouveau and Cataclysm & Nouveau, are optional.

This addon adapts a selected set of abilities rather than every monster behavior. It does not replace Legendary Monsters or change its ordinary creatures into Ars casters.
