Your armour is the motherboard.

Augment Protocol lets you slot jet boots, plasma blades, ore sonar and a grappling cable into your armour, and watch them light up for everyone to see. Every power costs a slot, and slots are scarce, so the augments you pick are your build.

It comes with:

🛡 Better armour. More slots.

The armour you wear decides how many augments you can run. Climb from iron to diamond to netherite and your rig powers up.

• No armour: one augment online.
• Iron: your first power you can trigger.
• Diamond: more slots, plus a bonus slot.
• Netherite: everything, including the Ultimate.

Passives are always on. Actives fire on a key and run on charges, energy or cooldowns.

🚀 Own the sky

Jet boots that climb, hover and boost. A parachute you can pop off any ledge. Double jumps, dashes, and a sprint that keeps getting faster.

Fire. Hook. Fly. Arrow Chain fires an arrow on a steel cable. Jump off a ledge and swing, reel yourself up a skyscraper, or let go mid-pull and launch. It’s how you climb the ruined city.

🔫 Plasma everything

Plasma Blade turns any sword into a fully enchanted weapon. Plasma Shot does it for bows, and the Plasma Crossbow fires the instant you click, no reload. Throw up a Personal Shield, hit Rage, and go into overdrive.

👁 See through walls

Ore Scanner pings diamonds through solid stone. Thermal Vision makes everything alive glow behind the walls. A radar shows what’s hunting you, and Tactical HUD adds target lock and incoming-fire alerts.

Know your body

Life Support lets you breathe longer underwater, and shrugs off poison. With Survival Protocol installed it also puts a VITALS panel on your screen: are you rested, are you fed, is your food about to rot. Sneak and look at a block and Tactical HUD tells you what’s up with it. No menus.

🔧 Build it at the bench

Every augment is built at the Augment Bench. No recipes to memorise: pick what you want, and the bench shows you exactly what to bring back from the city.

• Pick any augment from the bench’s list.
• Scavenge: it shows what you have and what you still need to find.
• Build: drop the parts in, any order, and it builds itself.
• Upgrade: feed it back into the bench for the next tier, with new tricks.

When it’s time to go home, Recall warps you to a pad your whole crew can share.

Augment Protocol is the build system of the Federation Of Kaos modpack, a post-apocalypse survival shooter, and it works just as well on its own. In the pack it is wired into the other FOK mods: Carry Pack rides on your back and doubles as a field workbench, Outbreak Protocol shows you what the infected see, Kaos Hunter adds a bounty tracker and the elite HunterPack, Kaos Missions grounds your jetpack while you haul cargo, and Pocket Domain adds an augment of its own. Augments help you survive but never cheat it: they don’t cure infection or make guns for you.
