Immersive Football (Soccer)

A Physics-Based Football (Soccer) mod in Minecraft!

Immersive football aims to add an all-in-one football experience in Minecraft, all while being survival friendly ready to be dropped into any Server or SMP!

Beta Preview (0.1.4)

Features:

Physics:

• Fully Configurable values, YOU decide how the game runs (58 options so far)
• Balls bounce (both on ground and off walls)
• Momentum-based calculations for realism
• Max Speed cap (Won’t be launched into Space if multiple players kick it)
• Ball spins based on where you hit it, making curve shots possible

Outfielders:

• Dynamic Charged Power Shots (With visual indication)
• Dribbling
• Ball Shielding
• Passing
• Flicks
• Dynamic Curve Shots
• Headers
• Throw-ins
• Chip shots

Todo:

Goalkeepers:

• Gloves for further reach
• Charged Dives in any direction

Referees:

• Working whistle
• Goal line technology block (For goal detection)
• Yellow and Red cards

Quick guide:

Passing:

• Punch the ball to pass
• Pass distance based on if you’re stationary, walking or running
• You can curve the ball by hitting it on its left or right side, works for shooting too

Flicking:

• Crouch punch while stationary to flick the ball up
• Crouch punch as you’re moving to chip the ball

Shooting:

• Press V to start charging
• The longer you charge, the more power the shot will have
• How high you’re looking when you start your charge, between looking straight forward to looking straight up, determines the lift of the shot
• When you release your charge, punch the ball to shoot

Throw-ins

• Right click with the ball in your hand
• Distance determined by angle and if you do a run up

Headers

• Jump into the ball when it’s in the air

Dribbling

• Walk or run into the ball to dribble
• If you walk, the ball is slightly shielded and closer to you, so it becomes harder for opponents to take it off you

For Modpack Developers and Server Owners:

• The project has no noticeable impacts on performance
• Majority of the variables are configurable, including much of the ball physics
• I’ve made the mod fully open source, feel free to recompile it if you need stricter control
• Originally made for my own Modpack, I haven’t noticed any incompatibilities yet
