Bring Cataclysm’s boss powers into your own spellbook.

Cataclysm & Nouveau is an unofficial addon that turns selected abilities from L_Ender’s Cataclysm into Ars Nouveau glyphs, powered by Ars Conflux. Combine native projectiles, area attacks, beams, buffs, and boss actions with Ars casting methods and supported augments.

Features

• 102 glyphs, covering the Netherite Monstrosity, Scylla, the Harbinger, the Ender Guardian, Ignis, Maledictus, the Leviathan, the Ancient Remnant, and selected other creatures and weapons.
• Native projectile replacements: launch waves, fireballs, missiles, phantom arrows, and more through supported Ars projectile forms.
• Effects at your chosen target: place void runes, call lightning, create sandstorms, or unleash an abyssal blast.
• Boss actions in spell arrangements: selected slashes, charges, and slams include translucent boss phantoms to show the attack.
• Buffs and utility: water walking, lava walking, lava absorption, Cursed Rage, and more.
• Ars damage growth: supported attacks benefit from Ars spell-damage equipment and damage events.
• Configurable balance: adjust ability Mana costs, cooldowns, and percentage-damage safeguards.
• English and Simplified Chinese localization.

Build Your Own Spells

Projectile replacements are augments attached to a supported projectile form. Other abilities appear as effects. Each glyph supports the modifiers appropriate to its behavior.

Native projectiles keep their characteristic visuals and hit behavior. Supported special Ars forms use Conflux’s shared projectile integration. Direct-damage projectiles continue the remaining spell effects after successful native damage; other supported impact results follow their own trigger rules.

Earn the Abilities

Craft glyphs at the Scribe’s Table using a Source Gem, the corresponding Cataclysm trophy, weapon, or material, and 27 experience points. Then use the glyph item to learn it.

All glyphs are Ars Tier 1. Access to the abilities comes from obtaining their source materials. Several boss trophies can be broken into smaller materials for glyph crafting; check the individual recipes.

Mana and Cooldowns

Imported abilities pay their additional Ars Mana cost when they activate. Sustained abilities pay for their continued output, and repeating projectile forms pay for their activations. Ordinary Ars casting-method and augment costs still apply.

Active cooldowns use Ars Conflux. Mana, cooldowns, and other supported balance settings are available in cataclysm_nouveau-server.toml. Some abilities retain native environmental requirements or offer different behavior at low health.

Requirements

Minecraft 1.21.1 · NeoForge

Install on both the client and server:

• Ars Nouveau
• Ars Conflux 0.1.24 or newer within 0.1.x
• L_Ender’s Cataclysm
• The required dependencies of those mods

Other Nouveau integration addons are optional.

Compatibility and Scope

Built on Ars Conflux to share supported projectile forms, targeting, and spell contexts with other compatible addons.

This addon adapts a selected set of abilities; it does not reproduce every boss behavior. Self, allied-entity, and fixed-position execution depend on the individual ability.

This is an independent, unofficial integration by EndXiom. Cataclysm remains required. Its original assets are referenced at runtime and are not included in this addon.
