Grabby Mobs makes changes to the game mechanics, specifically of mobs in-game. In vanilla Minecraft, there is only a small chance a mob can grab items. The mod makes it so that all mobs which can grab items, can always do so. This way you can be sure that the Zombie you’ve caught can be decorated with a fancy helmet. Which mobs are able to grab items can be changed in the config, and modded mobs can be added as well.

What mobs can pick up by default:
Drowned: All equipment
Evoker: No armour
Husk: All equipment
Piglin: All equipment
Piglin Brute: All equipment
Skeleton: All equipment
Stray: All equipment
Vex: No armour
Vindicator: No armour
Witch: Mainhand only
Wither Skeleton: All equipment
Zombie: All equipment
Zombie Villager: All equipment
Zombified Piglin: All equipment

The mobs that always pick up items from the floor. Modded mobs can be added too, for example ‘somemod:*’.

mobsGrabWhenMobGriefingIsOff default false
Whether the mobs still pick up items when the mobGriefing gamerule is off.

mobsDropGrabbedItemsOnDeath default true
Whether items a mob picked up drop when it dies. When disabled, those items are lost.

secondsBeforeRegrabbingAnItem default 30, min 0, max 3600
How many seconds a mob waits before picking up an item it let go of again. Set to 0 to turn this off.

You may freely use this mod in any modpack, as long as the download remains hosted within the CurseForge or Modrinth ecosystem.
