A dark purple PvP resource pack with 3D items, made for modern versions of Minecraft.

Truly Purple gives the whole game one dark purple look, from your tools and armor to ores, blocks, menus and particles. It’s built for fighting, so your view stays clear and the things you need to spot are easy to read.

PvP features

• Low fire, so burning doesn’t block your screen
• Small held items, so swords and tools take up less of your view
• Small totem pop, so a popped totem doesn’t cover the fight
• No explosion clouds or smoke from crystals, anchors or TNT
• Clear water that’s easier to see through
• Calmer enchant glint, plus thinner rain and snow
• Purple hit particles that are easy to read
• No random block rotation on common blocks like dirt and stone

Gear

• Purple tools and weapons
• Purple diamond and netherite armor
• Trim colors for each pattern, so different trims look different
• A new dark purple diamond
• An icon for each enchanted book’s main enchantment, with the level shown in the tooltip

3D items

• 3D armor items and smithing templates
• A 3D end crystal that spins when held or in your inventory. It stands still where time doesn’t move, like the Nether, the End or servers with time frozen.

Blocks

• Ores: each ore keeps its own color, with glowing pieces and outlines that connect
• Glass: clear, with one purple line around the outside
• Custom blocks: TNT, respawn anchors, glowstone, ancient debris, heavy cores and lanterns
• Purple Stone: redstone is recolored and renamed to match

Menus and extras

• Dark menus and a purple hotbar, hearts and XP bar
• Purple firework rockets and bows
• Purple and black icons for the Simple Voice Chat mod

Good to know

• Connected textures and glowing ores need Continuity on Fabric or OptiFine. The rest of the pack works without them.
• Made and tested on 1.21.11. It also includes support for 26.2 and 26.3.
• If your FPS is low, try Truly Purple Lite, the optimized PvP version.

You don’t need to ask me to use this pack in your videos, streams or modpacks, or on your server. Share it anywhere, including Discord. Crediting me or linking this page is appreciated but not required.

Install

1. Download the zip. Don’t unzip it.
2. In Minecraft, go to Options > Resource Packs > Open Pack Folder.
3. Drop the zip in that folder, then turn the pack on in the game.
