Staff Effects

Staff Effects is a datapack that adds various magical staffs, each granting a different effect.

Obtained through several crafts or discovering parts of it, Staffs give permanent buffs to the player as long as it is held in the offhand. Buffs include Speed, Strength, Haste, and more, all corresponding to the specific Staff you hold. Materials can be found in new Staff Ruins structures, scattered around the surface world.

Basic staffs are entirely craftable, but there is an extra tier that heightens the power of your staffs, only obtainable through exploration. Staff Ruins have a chance to contain Upgrade Runes, templates usable in Smithing Tables to upgrade basic staffs.

To help you learn the ropes of crafting Staffs and upgrading them, a new Advancements tab has been added to guide you.

The “Staffs” Advancement tab contains new tasks, challenges, and goals to motivate you into crafting all sorts of Staffs and Cursed Patches. Complete them all and have fun with these new additions!
