Smaller Totems of Undying for a clearer first-person view. A lightweight, vanilla-style resource pack for Minecraft Java Edition.

Compatibility

• Minecraft: Java Edition 1.13+.
• Client-side resource pack: use it with the normal Java Edition resource-pack system. No server plugin, OptiFine, or mod loader is required.
• Java: use the Java runtime required by your Minecraft version. This pack has no separate Java requirement.

Features

• Compact model — keeps the totem neatly positioned with a smaller display size.
• Vanilla textures — uses Minecraft’s existing totem texture instead of bundling a replacement.
• Visual changes only — does not change how totems activate, save the player, or work on servers.
• No extra dependencies — install it as a standard resource pack.

How it works

Small Totems overrides the Totem of Undying’s item model and adjusts its display transforms. It keeps the original pack’s first-person scale of 0.4 and fixed-display scale of 0.3.

The model references Minecraft’s existing item/totem_of_undying texture. Compatible texture packs can supply a different totem texture while this pack supplies the smaller model.

Installation

1. Download Small Totems from Modrinth.
2. Open Minecraft Java Edition and go to Options → Resource Packs → Open Pack Folder.
3. Place the resource-pack ZIP in that folder. Leave the ZIP intact.
4. Move Small Totems into the selected packs list and click Done.
5. Hold a Totem of Undying to check the smaller first-person model.

If another resource pack replaces the totem model or item definition, place Small Totems above it in the selected packs list.
