Nullified Lights

This resource pack introduces a visual enhancement to one of Minecraft’s most frequently encountered item categories—torches and lanterns—by altering their in-hand appearance across both first-person and third-person perspectives. Rather than sticking to the traditional flat 2D visuals, these light sources are now represented with 3D models when held by the player, thereby adding depth and a tactile sense of presence to the objects as they’re wielded or viewed externally. However, to maintain visual clarity and prevent unnecessary clutter or confusion within graphical interfaces, the models intelligently revert to their original 2D forms when appearing inside graphical user interfaces (GUIs), placed within item frames, or dropped on the ground. The result is a hybrid visual strategy that aims to balance immersion and usability: making your tools of illumination feel more alive and dimensional in the world without sacrificing the readability of inventories or storage systems.
