Note: This pack has additional funtionality with Polytone installed, such as custom foliage, fog, terrain, sky, and water colormaps. Polytone is NOT required for 99% of this pack to function.

Inspired by incredible works such as Palettized Programmer Art by TheRealDarkBum, Recrafted by MR_CHOO, Vintage Story, and others, Dark Cottagecore aims to transform the scattered and abstract Minecraft into a single, consistently themed experience. It takes inspiration from the old programmer art textures without relying solely on nostalgia to deliver it’s vision.

What you can expect from this pack (currently):

• a light touch of dark fantasy added to your world
• animated foliage across the overworld
• new flowers
• overhauled enemies
• new levels of color and depth
• seasonally themed biomes (If Polytone is installed)
• simplistic, yet smooth textures
• basic mod support (mainly ores)

What you can expect in the future:

• at minimum, a complete overhaul of the overworld and its creatures
• basic building blocks
• nether overhaul
• tools & armor
• more extensive mod support
• resource pack support as addons(e.g. fresh animations)

What you can not expect, and will not be added:

• bushy leaves (maybe as a separate pack in the future)
• any features that require mods to work (besides colormaps)
• changes to fog density/thicker fog
• resolutions higher than 16x
• respackopts options (subpacks will be consistently uploaded as separate projects)
• building block palettes that are extremely different from vanilla
• features that do not work with Sodium, Nvidium, Distant Horizons, Voxy, etc

As this pack has taken me an incredible amount of time and while likely be a long-term project of mine, I must request that you give CREDIT when you are using this in your modpack.
