Handles press down, doors swing open and bounce against the stop. The pack works without it too.

Every door and trapdoor in the game turns 3D, and it still looks like vanilla. Nothing is repainted. The pack reads the original 16×16 door textures and builds the depth from what’s already in them.

Frames and crossbars get full thickness. Panels, grooves and window frames sit a pixel deeper. Transparent pixels become real holes you can look through, with visible edges. Hinges, handles, rings and locks turn into small 3D parts, in exactly the spot where the texture draws them.

All doors and trapdoors

Oak, Spruce, Birch, Jungle, Acacia, Dark Oak, Mangrove, Cherry, Pale Oak, Poplar, Bamboo, Crimson, Warped, Iron and Copper, including exposed, weathered and oxidized copper and every waxed variant. That’s 22 doors and 22 trapdoors.

Each door looks different because each vanilla texture is different. Double doors mirror correctly, and open doors and trapdoors never clip into the blocks next to them.

Animations

On its own, the pack makes everything 3D and doors open instantly, like in vanilla. With the free Fabric mod Animated 3D Doors Companion they move:

• doors swing open and bounce back a little at the stop, never past 90°, so nothing clips into walls
• handles press down, knobs turn, ring handles swing, bolts slide and copper padlocks sway
• wooden and copper trapdoors flip open with a bounce, iron ones move heavy and steady

The mod works with Sodium, Iris shaderpacks and Fancy World Animations.

FAQ

Does it work with other resource packs?

Yes. Put Animated 3D Doors above them. Packs with a different resolution (8x, 32x and so on) won’t line up with the holes and edges, though.

Do I need it on the server?

No. It’s client-side only.

Which version?

Minecraft Java Edition 26.3 (pack format 97.1). The pack contains no Mojang textures, only models, so it uses whatever door textures are loaded.
