VDE is a purely upgraded Vanilla+ modpack built on Fabric 1.21.5, designed for Multiplayer Servers

Everything is specifically chosen to fit within Mojang’s design philosophy, adding minimal blocks and changing very few mechanics.

Key features:

• Item Physics:

  • Items drop to ground realistically
  • Items can be thrown by holding <Drop Item>
  • Items can be picked up < 1.5 blocks away with ‘Shift + Mouse2’

  World Generation:

  • Continental world generation. Oceanic base with massive islands, rivers and mountain ranges. (+Lithosphere)
  • Incendium + Biomes o’ Plenty
  • Lios Overhauled Villages, Moog’s Structures, & Formations

  Visual Enhancements: (Configured for RTX 2060 + i5 9th gen)

  • Tons of new particle effects
  • Realistic thunder & storm mechanics
  • Customized Complementary shaders + Euphoria Patches
  • Overhauled default textures with variants and CIT (NewDefault+)
  • Falling leaves, wind particles, rain and snow particles, water splashes, bubble pop, etc.
  • Mobs show a spawning animation
  • Distant horizons

  Hard(ish)core:

  • Player Reviving: When players health reaches zero, player is put in a downed state.
    • No time limit: Players can stay in this downed state until someone is able to revive
    • No item usage: Players cannot use any items/food/map when incapacitated
    • Give up: If player does not want to wait for revival by teammate, player can give up and lose (1) heart of MaxHP (Not-recoverable, therefore 10 total lives)
    • Upon Revival: Revived player is given 30 seconds of weakness and hunger, and set to 1HP
  • Backpacks: Players can use backpacks, craftable or found as mob loot
    • 4 Tiers in order(Slots+Upgrades): Leather(9+1), Iron(18+1), Gold(27+2), Diamond(36+3), Netherite(36+4)
    • Backpack abilities are disabled
    • Backpack magnet, feeding, and void upgrades are disabled
  • Other tweaks: 
    • Players cannot see others on the maps
    • Players that fall into the void in the end dimension are transported to the nether roof
    • Players can ping with ‘Mouse5’
