A Tale of Two Oranges [Forge]

Description

This is a fork of the Medieval MC Modpack with some minor changes (added and removed some mods, modified configs) to be more tailored towards a private whitelist SMP server called Orange SMP. We are publishing the modpack due to the fact, that a high number of people in our community requested us to make the altered modpack public, and publish it to CurseForge.

Maintenance

This modpack will be constantly maintained by a small dev team (which is also part of the aforementioned SMP dev team). This modpack fork will always try to be up-to-date with the original Medieval MC Modpack, while maintaining the applied modifications (mods & config).

Additional Notes

• Unlike the original modpack, this modified modpack does NOT follow the medieval theme! There are some modern-theme mods such as CC: Tweaked.
• If you are looking for a pure immersive medieval-theme modpack, we would recommend trying the original. Otherwise, if you are looking for medival-theme modpack with fancy modern technology, this might be the right modpack for you.
• This modpack is not fully stable yet, due to the fact that the original modpack is still in beta and we already added additional mods. Therefore, it is not recommended to have it run on big server with high traffic but is recommended for small or medium-sized communities like ours.
• We strive for balance in our server, and therefore removed some of the mods that we deemed “overpowered” in order to maintain some level of difficulties for our players. Mods, such as Upgraded Netherite are completely removed from the modpack.
• Time-to-time we attempt to **update all the mods in the modpack**, which at first sounds as a bonus, since our modpack will have all the newest features from the 200+ mods, as well as having all the common bugs fixed. However, this also introduces new bugs, and can sometimes result in having a more unstable modpack.
• Even though, as of now, this modpack is quite similar to the original modpack, our vision is to make this modpack more unique by adding more custom resources and mods.

Differences from the original

Comparing Medieval MC [FORGE] v13 with A Tale of Two Oranges [Forge]-v0.4.1-13:

• 7 mods were removed due to various reasons (ex. deemed to be too “overpowered” or “exploitable”)
• 8 new mods were added to the modpack
• 69 mods were updated to the latest version (note: some mods are not updated to the latest version due to compatibility issues)
