The Anomaly is the new entity added by the main mod, this entity seems to reside mostly in the caves, tormenting anyone who delves deep into them. Stay awake or it might evolve over time.
It is meant for long playthroughs, you will not encounter the entity during the first days, make sure to make the most of it.
