 In the year 2173, humanity had marveled at its technological achievements. Cities sprawled with towering arcologies, gleaming with advanced bio-architecture and sustainable energy systems. Yet, beneath this facade of progress, a shadow loomed. A laboratory accident in a remote research facility led to the accidental release of a genetically engineered pathogen. Initially thought contained, the virus mutated rapidly, its primary effect turning victims into ravenous, mindless creatures – zombies.
Within days, chaos engulfed the world. Governments collapsed as the infection spread across continents with alarming speed. The undead, driven by insatiable hunger, hunted the living relentlessly. In a desperate bid for survival, scattered groups of survivors formed alliances, fortifying enclaves within the remnants of once-thriving cities.
