About

A light Create Aeronautics modpack focused on exploring and industrialising whimsical floating islands, with new and overhauled ore generation, recipes, gameplay mechanics and more!
Featuring Aetherial Islands for worldgen, Create and Aeronautics for automation and creatively limitless Steampunk Transportation, and additional mods like Farmers Delight, Vanilla Backport, and Wilder Flowers to bring color and comfort to the world.
Such beautiful scenery just HAS to be converted into a smog of Steampunk Industry.

Notable Changes and Additions:

• The Nether and End is removed. Blaze burners and Quartz can be acquired using new automated recipes.
• Stone tools are removed. Copper tools take their place.
• Armor requires metal sheets instead of ingots. Diamond armor requires mechanical crafting.
• Ore generation is overhauled. Copper spawns above sea level, Zinc spawns below sea level. Gold and Redstone spawn around sea level. Iron and Coal are more frequent at lower levels, but present everywhere in the world. Emerald and Lapis spawn infrequently at high levels. Diamonds remain rare at deepslate level.
• Cobblestone generators will create andesite or deepslate instead when near the top or bottom of the world respectively.
• Trees fall over with physics!
• Some early game blocks and items have modified recipes, including several create mod blocks.
• Cart Assemblers are removed.
• Crushing Wheel recipes have been remade to focus on automation, including the new Ore automation pipeline, which gives create’s ore stones complicated recipes to persue.
• Hostile mobs only spawn below sea level. Wither Skeletons spawn near deepslate. Basing above sea level will be a more comforting peaceful experience.

A Note

This pack has been in on-and-off development for a year. It all started in the Raspberry Flavoured discord server where I was inspired by that modpacks polish and clear intention to create my own modpack with an idea I hadn’t seen done before, Create mod + Sky Islands. With the help of the Raspberry Flavoured community – including RF’s developers and contributors – I learned heaps and heaps of stuff about mod and modpack development and explored all sorts of ideas I would have never considered. In this community I also simply found a place of comfort where I could share in my love of Minecraft and its modding scene. I am endlessly grateful to the RF server and those that helped me develop this modpack and my skills in modding, notably Cassiancc for help with KubeJS and packdev, WelsheyWeasel and Asof for endless brainstorming convo as well as some texture work for an older version of Steampunk Skies, Revin and graygravity for playtesting that older version, informing this 1.21.1 remake <3
I am aware that the release of Aeronautics will likely spur on a thousand “Sky Islands Aeronautics” packs, and this will just be another one of those now. There is more to be done with this pack and many MANY ideas to be implemented in the future, but I’d like to stand out from the sea of similar packs by simply giving the same attention and care here that Raspmary and Co give to Raspberry Flavoured.
