Stay In The Light

I wanted to make a modpack that forces you to stay out of the dark. Hopefully, I can make it better, but this is what I got so far, and I think it’s okay for now. Please leave any mod suggestions in the comments. Thank you. 

Features

Dynamic Light Survival

Torches don’t last forever. Light sources must be maintained, forcing players to carefully manage supplies while exploring caves, forests, and abandoned structures.

Enhanced Darkness

Nights and underground areas are significantly darker than vanilla Minecraft. Darkness limits visibility and creates a constant sense of tension while traveling.

Atmospheric Horror

Immersive sound and ambient effects create an unsettling environment filled with distant noises, echoes, and unexplained sounds that make players question what may be lurking nearby.

Long Nights

You won’t be able to sleep through some nights, forcing the player to survive the challenging horrors that await. As well, the night will last longer.

More Biomes

Has 50+ new biomes with new blocks and materials

Enhances Mob AI

Monsters will be way smarter, to a point where it is scary. Zombies can tunnel under your base, allowing for full-scale infiltrations. Creepers can now dodge your attacks, moving to the side as well. They will blow up when optimal. Skeletons can shoot at you further.

Tough As Nails

Adds a body temperature system as well as a thirst meter, be sure to have water and food to be able to heal up.

Recommended Experience

• Play with shaders enabled for maximum atmosphere.
• Avoid skipping the night.
• Explore carefully and keep spare light sources on hand.
• Never assume you’re alone.
