🎃 Welcome to Spookytober! 🎃

Spookytober is a Minecraft 1.21.1 NeoForge horror and adventure modpack built around the feeling of Halloween. Explore a world filled with abandoned structures, haunted graveyards, dangerous dungeons, terrifying creatures, supernatural events, and powerful bosses as you build yourself up for the horrors ahead.

This isn’t just about surviving jumpscares. Spookytober combines horror with actual progression, exploration, combat, and adventure.

📖 Quests & Progression

Spookytober includes a small FTB Quests chapter designed to introduce you to the modpack and give you some extra challenges along the way.

After a short introduction, take on the Spookytober Kill Quests, where you’ll hunt down different groups of monsters found throughout the pack, including spiders, zombies, skeletons, and some of the much more dangerous creatures and bosses waiting for you.

The quests aren’t meant to guide every step of your playthrough. How you survive, explore, gear up, and prepare for what comes next is entirely up to you.

👻 Monsters Everywhere

The world is packed with creatures ranging from familiar undead to things that definitely do not belong in Minecraft.

Face monsters from Born in Chaos, Mutant Monsters, Siren Head, Sadako, AVP, Legendary Monsters, The Graveyard, Myths & Legends, and many more. Even familiar enemies have become more dangerous, with spiders gaining improved movement and zombies becoming much more aware of the player. 

⚔️ Completely Overhauled Combat

Combat has been transformed with Epic Fight, alongside additional movesets, weapons, bows, enchantments, and powerful equipment. 

Fighting monsters is no longer just about standing in front of them and clicking. Dodge, position yourself, learn your weapons, and prepare before taking on the pack’s stronger enemies.

🌕 Survive the Night

Some nights are much worse than others.

Enhanced Celestials, Chaos Moon, and Extreme Horde Moon introduce dangerous lunar events capable of turning an ordinary night into a fight for survival. 

Combined with darker nights, limited lighting, horror sounds, reactive music, and hostile mobs capable of detecting you more effectively, darkness is something you should actually prepare for. 

🏚️ Explore a Changed World

There is much more waiting outside your base than monsters.

Spookytober greatly expands exploration with When Dungeons Arise, The Graveyard, Grim Kingdoms, Biomes O’ Plenty, Oh The Biomes We’ve Gone, and an extensive collection of Moog’s structures spread throughout the Overworld, Nether, End, oceans, villages, mineshafts, and more. 

Explore ruins, dungeons, abandoned structures, strange biomes, and dangerous locations while searching for loot and whatever might be hiding inside.

🔮 Magic, Witchcraft & the Occult

Not everything lurking in Spookytober can be defeated with a sword.

Experiment with Hexerei, Occultism, Witchery, and Witchery: Forbidden Magic to bring a darker supernatural side to your survival experience. 

🎧 Built for Atmosphere

Spookytober puts a major focus on making the world feel unsettling rather than relying entirely on monsters.

Ambient sounds, horror audio, reactive music, dynamic lighting, darker environments, seasonal changes, shaders, and environmental effects help transform Minecraft into a much moodier experience.

🗣️ Better With Friends

Spookytober supports Simple Voice Chat and Simple Radio, making multiplayer especially fun when your group gets separated while exploring somewhere they probably shouldn’t be.
