See the Sea

This is a modpack focused on ocean exploration. The main idea is to survive on the water. You don’t have any specific objective, and you can even completely change your goals, as the modpack is designed to allow for that.

The only limit to what you can do is your imagination !

Here is some important informations :

1. What mods are included ?

I won’t give you the full list, but instead a quick overview so you don’t have to dive too deeply into it. Or at least, not completely…

To begin with, there are several firearm mods such as “TaCZ” and “Scorched Guns”. One of them is also useful for structure generation.

Then, there are a few food-related mods involving fishing, hunting, and farming (although I’m not sure you’ll really be farming…) such as “Farmer’s Delight” and “Aquaculture”.

Finally, there are mods that add structures, modify world generation, and, most importantly, add ambient sounds and creatures…

Believe me, you’re never truly alone when traveling through the depths of the abyss.

2. What does the world look like ?

The world is mainly made up of a vast, seemingly endless ocean.

You may come across islands, hostile pirate ships (some of which may actually chase you), sunken cities, and even underwater villages. If you’re lucky, or if you have good eyes, you might even stumble upon abandoned bunkers.

Important ! You may spawn in a completely random location, including one that is not suitable for survival. If that happens, I recommend simply creating a new world.

3. What creatures live there ?

If you don’t want any spoilers, skip to the fourth section. Otherwise, the waters are home to what everyone knows : Drowned. But they aren’t the only threat.

Do you know Nautiluses ? Here, encountering one is basically a guaranteed death sentence.
Sharks, fish, gigantic monsters, whales… There’s a bit of everything.

To add some life and atmosphere, you may also encounter rare birds during your journey. Drowned Creepers and Endermen… SERIOUSLY !!? (Your reaction :>)

The ships are infested with pirates who won’t leave you alone unless you manage to escape or stop them.

On land, you may find zombies, bears, ducks, birds, pigs, cows… But nothing particularly special.

4. How does it work / What features are included ?

Simple !

All you need to do is check your key bindings when launching the game, make sure the correct resource packs are enabled, and, finally, be careful not to immediately turn on shaders.

When you enter the world, if you want to conquer the waters quickly, start with a small boat… With a gold ingot and some wood, the “Eureka”, also known as “Valkyrien Sky”, mod will allow you to build your own ship.

With “Sophisticated Backpacks”, “Immersive Melodies”, and the right upgrade, you can listen to music while sailing.

As for “Scuba Gear”, it is perfect for underwater exploration !
