Not Exactly Vanilla

Not Exactly Vanilla is primarily a Magic, Exploration, and Combat, based pack with some slight RPG elements. Tame a legion of dogs and rats with special abilities and eventually raise your own dragon! Don’t forget to master the arcane arts…all of them! Electroblob’s Wizardry, Thaumcraft, Astral Sorcery, Abyssalcraft, Project E and more! A few technology mods can be found in the pack such as Immersive Engineering for early game and Draconic Evolution for end game. This pack includes mods such as Streams and YUNG’s Better Caves to keep the Overworld always fun to explore. When you’re ready for more they’re are a huge number of dimensions to explore such as The Betweenlands, Twilight Forest, Aether, The Midnight and so much more… When it’s time to settle down, you can build a base with the numerous cosmetic and base building mods!

This pack was designed to showcase some of the mods which are newer or I felt have tremendous potential but often get overshadowed by some of the more popular or well established mods. This is far from a random collection of mods however. Everything has been carefully balanced for both PVE and PVP. Recipe and config changes have ensured you can’t end game the pack on day one but nothing is truly grindy or unfair. This is not a hardcore pack but rather was designed for longevity and fun for days and month worth of playtime.
