MVD 2

A light tech pack for engineers and builders on Minecraft 1.21.1 (NeoForge). Create, Mekanism, Powah and Applied Energistics 2 grow into one tech tree, with a quest book that takes you from punching a tree to an AE2 network with autocrafting.

Work in progress. New chapters are on the way, and things may change between versions.

What makes it different

Woven progression. From the Industrial Age on, each mod’s next tier needs parts from the others, so no mod can be climbed on its own. A few examples:

Mekanism’s Infused Alloy is made from Create’s Brass.
Powah’s Hardened Capacitor needs Mekanism’s Infused Alloy and Create’s Brass Sheets.
Mekanism’s Advanced Control Circuit is made in Create’s Mechanical Crafter, with Powah’s Energized Steel.
AE2’s ME Controller needs a Mekanism Advanced Control Circuit and a Powah Hardened Capacitor.
Create’s crushed ore gives 2 dusts in Mekanism’s Enrichment Chamber.

When a recipe costs more than usual, the item is better than usual too: Powah’s Batteries hold 2.5 times as much power, and Advanced Control Circuits and Electron Tubes come 2 at a time.

A quest book with no hand-holding. 6 chapters and 137 quests: Welcome, Wood and Stone Age, Iron Age, Industrial Age, Digital Age and Colossal Works. Quests tell you what to make; JEI shows you how.

Storage that grows with you. Tom’s Simple Storage (cheaper than usual in MVD 2) turns your Iron Chests into one searchable network early on; Applied Energistics 2 takes over later.

The Colossal mods. Colossal Quarry, XP Works, Colossal Furnace and Colossal Apiary, made by the pack’s author.

Light on your computer. Performance mods are included: 4 GB of RAM is enough, 6 GB is comfortable.
